Free From Sin?
Do you believe in God? Do you go to church? Are you a “Christian?” As James said, “But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” ~James 1:25-27
The vast majority of religious institutions of this day and age do not teach this simple thing. The so-called-men-of-God preach that keeping “unspotted from the world” is an impossible thing to do. The point of the matter is that many are unwilling to devote their lives to God and be pure and clean inside. It is much more easy, and pleasurable to travel the broad road of sin that leadeth to destruction that to be sin free.
What? Is your attention caught finally? Have you discovered something that you may never have heard before? Yes, there are people out there that have sin-free lives and live in a state pleasing to God. You don’t believe it? Why not? What argument have you to say that it is impossible to live a Holy Life? When God forgives a person of their sin, then they are able to continue with the help of God to never sin again. It is easier when a person has “received the Holy Ghost since you believed,” but it is indeed possible with God’s help.
